Platform Comparison
FieldHive vs Joblogic
FieldHive and Joblogic both help trade and field service businesses manage customers, quotes, bookings and invoices. But they are built around different levels of operational control.
FieldHive gives owner-managed trade businesses a focused mobile system for building reusable pricing, sending quotes, booking work and creating invoices. Joblogic provides a broader field-service platform for businesses that need detailed jobs, separate users, engineer scheduling, asset management, planned maintenance, purchasing and operational reporting now.
Joblogic currently covers more of the wider office, engineer and contract-management workflow. The important question is whether your business needs that depth today — or whether FieldHive gives you the structure you need without introducing a larger system.
Joblogic
One person handles the main admin and you want a straightforward system for:
Customers
Reusable pricing
Fixed-price, hourly and time-and-materials quotes
Bookings
Invoices
Deposits and progress claims
Paid and unpaid invoice tracking
CIS support
Full mobile access on iPhone and Android
A focused option for getting pricing, quotes, bookings and invoices organised.
The business needs a wider operational system covering:
Separate office and engineer users
Customer and site management
Dedicated job records
Individual engineer schedules
Route scheduling
Engineer tracking
Timesheets
Asset registers
Electronic forms
Recurring jobs and PPM contracts
Purchase orders
Stock management
Customer portals
Job costing and reporting
Accounting integrations
Desktop access
The customer is saved once. Pricing can be built once and reused. Bookings stay connected to the customer and quoted work. Invoices can continue from information already entered.
FieldHive currently operates through one main account. It can suit a sole trader or small business where the owner or administrator controls the pricing, bookings and paperwork.
A more focused starting point when the immediate priority is organising pricing and the main customer-to-invoice workflow.
Joblogic’s Standard plan already includes customer and site management, assets, job management and costing, quotes, invoices, an engineer app, scheduling, electronic forms, Stripe integration, recurring jobs and reporting. Premium and Enterprise introduce planned-maintenance contracts, routing, engineer tracking, timesheets, purchasing, stock, customer portals and advanced reporting.
That makes Joblogic the stronger current fit where several people need to use the system and each job, engineer, asset and cost must be managed separately. FieldHive provides a more focused starting point when the immediate priority is organising pricing and the main customer-to-invoice workflow.
Build Your Pricing Once
Each catalogue item can hold material cost, labour fit time, markup and the final customer price — not just a description and selling price.
Items can be organised into folders, edited and reused across future quotes, so the next quote starts from pricing already worked out. That keeps pricing consistent and makes it clearer when costs, fitting times or margins need adjusting.
Quote Different Types of Work Properly
Not every job should be priced the same way. FieldHive supports fixed-price, time-and-materials and hourly-rate quotes.
Quotes can use saved catalogue items or manually entered work. Totals are calculated inside the app and the finished quote can be previewed as a PDF and sent to the customer.
AI Quote Rewrite helps improve the clarity of descriptions. It does not set prices or make commercial decisions.
Keep Customer Records Together
Each customer record holds contact details, addresses, notes, quote history and invoice history.
When a customer returns, you can see what was previously quoted and invoiced without searching through old emails or folders. The history stays with the customer rather than being rebuilt each time.
Connect Quotes, Bookings and Invoices
A quote can move into a booking that stores the customer, work details, date and time. When the work is ready to invoice, the invoice can be created from the quote rather than typed out again.
Invoices can be presented as simple, detailed or materials-and-labour breakdowns, then recorded as paid or unpaid — giving a clear record of what remains outstanding.
Use Deposits and Progress Claims
FieldHive Business supports deposit invoices, progress claims and final invoicing.
A builder may request a deposit before ordering materials; an electrician may invoice after first fix, second fix and completion; a landscaper may split preparation, installation and finishing. The invoicing can follow how the work is delivered.
Start Without Paying
FieldHive Free costs £0 per month and includes up to five active quotes plus unlimited invoices, customers, catalogue items and bookings — with PDF documents, your company logo, CIS support, AI Quote Rewrite and 10 AI credits each month.
The limit applies to quotes that remain active, not an allowance of five per month. Once a quote is no longer active, it stops counting towards the limit.
Remove the Quote Limit Without Rebuilding
FieldHive Business costs £14.99 per month or £144 per year, adding unlimited quotes, deposit invoices, progress claims, availability indicators, automated reminders, 100 AI credits and removal of FieldHive branding.
Moving to Business does not mean starting again — your customers, catalogue and previous quotes and invoices all remain in place.
Use the Full App on iPhone and Android
FieldHive is an installable mobile app for iPhone and Android, designed around phone use. Create quotes, check bookings and issue invoices from the customer’s property, a site, the van, the merchant or home.
FieldHive is currently mobile-only and does not provide desktop or browser access.
Use UK Trade Support
CIS support is included from the free plan, alongside VAT and tax settings, hourly rates, currency and regional settings, company details, company logo and document branding.
FieldHive launched first for the UK market, although the product is not positioned as UK-only.
Separate Users and Team Scheduling
Joblogic connects the office with engineers in the field. Jobs can be allocated to individual engineers, with real-time status updates sent back to the office, and the scheduling system includes team views, availability, job movement and tools for handling schedule changes.
Premium adds route scheduling, engineer tracking, timesheets and audits; Enterprise adds further workforce and operational controls.
FieldHive does not currently provide separate staff accounts, individual engineer schedules or full team dispatch.
Detailed Job and Site Records
Joblogic stores information around customers, sites, assets and individual jobs. Engineers can receive customer and site information, appointment times, access instructions, site assets, previous history, notes, photographs, drawings and attachments.
They can then return job statuses, notes, photographs, signatures, parts, timesheets and expenses to the office through the mobile app.
FieldHive connects customers, quotes, bookings and invoices but does not yet provide the same depth of engineer-updated job and site records.
Reusable Quotes, Sections and Approvals
Joblogic provides substantial quoting functionality — create quotes through the office or engineer app, attach notes, files, images and videos, reuse templates and previous quotes, divide quotes into separately approved sections, track status and value, convert accepted quotes into live jobs, add labour and part costs with markups and use Schedule of Rates libraries.
FieldHive’s main pricing distinction is that material cost, labour fit time, markup and customer price are held together within reusable catalogue items from its Free plan.
Asset Management
Asset management is included in Joblogic Standard. Businesses can record and maintain equipment at different customer sites and connect work history to the relevant asset, including asset registers, maintenance planning and QR-code identification — suited to boilers, air-conditioning, electrical equipment, fire and security systems, commercial plant, medical equipment and managed-property assets.
FieldHive does not currently provide a dedicated asset register or equipment-level service history.
Recurring Jobs and Planned Maintenance
Recurring jobs are included in Joblogic Standard. Premium adds PPM contracts, allowing planned maintenance and contract work to be managed in more detail, down to individual site assets, with contract billing and renewal — suited to annual servicing, compliance inspections, reactive-maintenance contracts, multi-site maintenance and asset-based schedules.
FieldHive currently supports individual bookings but does not provide full contract or asset-level planned-maintenance management.
Forms and Field Compliance
Joblogic Standard includes a library of electronic forms. Its mobile tools can capture risk assessments, job sheets, service records, photographs, customer signatures, GPS and time-stamped information and trade-specific compliance information. Enterprise adds a custom form builder, and offline form completion is supported.
FieldHive does not currently provide electronic compliance forms or a custom form builder.
Purchasing and Stock
Joblogic Premium includes purchase orders and purchasing-related invoicing. Enterprise adds stock management, goods received notes, purchase-order approvals and limits, group invoicing and Schedule of Rates tools.
These functions make Joblogic more suitable for businesses that need to control the flow of materials and supplier documents around each job. FieldHive stores costs inside catalogue items but does not currently manage live stock, purchase orders or supplier invoices.
Customer Portal
Joblogic’s customer portal is included in its Enterprise plan. Depending on permissions, customers can view current job statuses, access reports and dashboards, review site and asset histories, view quotes and invoices, download job sheets and certificates, log new work and pay invoices — and can see whether an engineer is travelling, onsite or has completed the work.
FieldHive currently sends customer documents but does not provide customers with their own portal.
Payments and Accounting Connections
Stripe integration is included in Joblogic Standard, and its wider platform and Marketplace support accounting connections including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, KashFlow and FreeAgent. The Marketplace provides more than 70 apps, integrations and modules across scheduling, compliance, accounting and industry-specific workflows.
FieldHive currently records whether an invoice is paid or unpaid but does not process payments or connect to accounting software.
Desktop and Mobile Access
Joblogic provides a browser-based office system alongside an engineer mobile app. The app allows engineers to receive jobs, update progress, view site and asset information, add photographs and signatures, record time and create or amend quotes, on iOS and Android, with offline functionality for parts of the field workflow.
FieldHive currently provides its main product through its iPhone and Android apps and does not offer office-based browser access.

Adds unlimited quotes, deposit invoices, progress claims, availability indicators and automated reminders.
FieldHive currently operates through one main account.
Standard — from £45 per user per month, billed annually
Joblogic gives the example of a five-user team costing £225 per month. Standard includes customer, site and asset management, jobs and job costing, quotes and invoices, the engineer app and job planner, standard electronic forms, Stripe integration, recurring jobs and standard reporting.
Premium — pricing supplied on request
Adds PPM contracts, purchase orders, route scheduling, engineer tracking, timesheets and audits.
Enterprise — custom pricing
Adds the customer portal, stock control, advanced reporting, group invoicing, Schedule of Rates, goods received notes, custom forms and purchase-order approvals.
The current product begins with customers, pricing, quotes, bookings and invoices.
As the workload increases, FieldHive Business removes the active-quote limit and adds deposits, progress claims, availability indicators and automated reminders. The purpose is to provide useful structure without requiring the business to configure users, assets, contracts, stock and purchasing before those areas are needed.
Joblogic already provides a staged route from reactive job management into planned maintenance, engineer tracking, purchasing, stock, customer portals and enterprise compliance.
Its Standard plan can serve smaller teams, while Premium and Enterprise add functions for businesses managing contracts, assets, several engineers and more complex customer requirements.

FIELDHIVE APPROACH
Imagine an electrical business with four people: the owner, two electricians and one apprentice. The owner handles customer records, pricing, quotes, bookings, invoices and payment-status checks.
The electricians complete the work but do not need their own software accounts or individual schedules. FieldHive can manage the main admin through one account.
Joblogic approach
Now imagine the business has office administrators, a service manager, several engineers, commercial customer sites, equipment requiring regular maintenance, and planned and reactive work. Each engineer needs to receive assigned jobs, view a schedule, access site and asset history, add notes and photographs, complete forms, record labour and parts, collect signatures and update job progress.
The office also needs to plan routes, track engineers, manage PPM contracts, raise purchase orders, compare actual job costs, maintain asset registers, give customers portal access and sync information with accounting software.
Joblogic already provides that structure
Separate office and engineer users with schedules
Detailed job and site records with asset history
Route scheduling and engineer tracking
Recurring jobs and PPM contracts
Electronic forms and job costing
Purchase orders, stock and customer portals
Accounting integrations and desktop access
One person handles the main admin

You want fixed-price, hourly and time-and-materials quotes
You want unlimited invoices, customers, catalogue items and bookings on a permanent free plan
You need CIS support
You mainly manage the business from your phone
You want a clear, lower-cost paid option
You do not need a full engineer, asset and contract-management platform yet
