A quote is a fixed, binding price for the work as described — once accepted, you're generally held to it. An estimate is your best approximation and can change as the job unfolds.
Most template galleries don't even mention the difference. This tool makes you pick up front and labels the document correctly, so you're not accidentally bound to a price you meant as a rough guide.

Show the net total, the VAT amount and the gross total, plus your VAT number.
Not registered
Don't add VAT — just quote your price. Set VAT to none and the totals stay clean.
Why the ‘valid until’ date matters
Material and subcontractor prices move. A valid-until date ties your quote to today's costs, so you're not held to an old price when a customer takes weeks to say yes.
Fourteen to thirty days is common. Set it in the tool and it prints clearly on the document.
