Every card has the same four parts: who it suits, the published price, what it does for you, and one watch-out.
1
FieldHive
Suits: Landscapers and gardeners working alone, and owner-run firms of up to about 3 people, where you do the quoting, booking and invoicing.
Published price
Free plan · Business £14.99 a month or £144 a year, one price for the whole business.
- Quote fixed-price, by the hour, or time and materials. A patio and a hedge cut rarely price the same way.
- Save turf, plants, materials and labour rates as catalogue items, unlimited on the free plan. The next quote takes a few taps.
- Deposits and progress claims on Business, so a garden build is paid in stages, not at the end.
- Quote → booking → invoice from one customer record. Xero and QuickBooks sync with CIS, Stripe card payments and a customer portal, all on the free plan. Stop paying any time and you keep the free plan; your quotes and invoices stay yours to export.
Watch-out: One login, for the person who runs the admin: staff don’t get their own accounts, job lists or timesheets. FieldHive doesn’t list recurring jobs, so check how it fits regular maintenance rounds; you can book several visits against one job, but not a repeating schedule. For weekly rounds and a crew, ServiceM8 or Jobber suit you better.
Start freeFree plan, no card needed. £14.99 a month flat for the whole business when you need more.
2
ServiceM8
Suits: Garden maintenance businesses on short, repeat visits, priced by monthly job count rather than people.
Published price
Free for 1 user and 30 jobs a month · Starter £25 (50 jobs), Growing £59 (150), Premium £119 (500), Premium Plus £269 a month · unlimited users on paid plans.
- Recurring jobs on every plan, including free: set a job up once and it re-creates and schedules itself.
- Xero, QuickBooks and online booking on every plan. Add staff without adding seats.
Watch-out: Priced by how many jobs you do a month. A weekly round of 10 gardens is about 43 visits a month, past the free plan’s 30 if each visit counts as a job, so check how visits are counted before you commit.
3
Powered Now
Suits: Landscapers who bill the same customers regularly and want forms in the same app as quotes and invoices.
Published price
Business £28 a month for one user · Professional £32 and Premium £40 per user a month · 14-day trial, no card.
- Recurring invoices from the £28 Business plan.
- Pay-now links on invoices and a mobile card reader for payments on site.
Watch-out: The £28 plan is for one user. Teams, Xero and QuickBooks sync and automatic invoice chasing start on Professional (£32 per user); the customer portal and appointment reminders are on Premium (£40 per user) only.
4
Jobber
Suits: Lawn care and landscaping crews that want recurring visits, route planning and an online client hub.
Published price
Core $29 a month for 1 user, Connect $99 (5 users), Grow $149 (10 users), billed annually · extra users $29 a month · priced in US dollars · 14-day trial.
- Recurring jobs and maintenance contracts generate their own visits, with appointment reminders.
- Client Hub on every plan: customers approve quotes, check visits and pay online.
Watch-out: Prices are in US dollars. QuickBooks sync starts on Connect ($99 a month annual) and route optimisation on Grow ($149). Its lawn care page doesn’t say which plan recurring jobs are on, so ask before you pick Core.
5
Tradify
Suits: Landscaping teams of 2 to 10 who schedule several people across the week.
Published price
£34, £37 or £44 per user a month · 14-day trial.
- Recurring jobs from Pro (£37 per user), so repeat work creates itself.
- Xero, Sage and QuickBooks on every plan, including Lite (£34).
Watch-out: The bill grows with every user, and recurring jobs aren’t on Lite. No customer portal found on its site; customers get emailed links.
6
LandscapeBase
Suits: UK garden-build firms with a crew, pricing projects from designs and specifications.
Published price
Price on request: one flat monthly fee for the business, not per user, quoted on a demo call · no annual contract.
- Turns designs and specifications into a costing, with a live margin on every project.
- Xero sync, a customer portal for approvals, and WhatsApp messages filed against the garden.
Watch-out: No published price and no trial mentioned: you book a demo to get a figure. It’s built for firms that build gardens, so maintenance rounds aren’t its focus.
7
Joblogic
Suits: Grounds maintenance contractors with office staff, many sites and planned maintenance schedules.
Published price
Standard from £45 per user a month, billed annually (5 users = £225 a month).
- Planned maintenance schedules for each site, with quotes, deposits and an offline mobile app for the crew.
- Live sync with Sage 50, Xero and QuickBooks.
Watch-out: Its pricing page says most customers sign 24- or 36-month contracts (12 months on request), while its landscaping page mentions rolling monthly terms, so confirm the term in writing. Every office and field login is a paid user, and the customer portal is on Enterprise only.
