Schedule of Test Results Template
Schedule of test results template to BS 7671:2018+A4:2026, with the circuit details and the test results together: one landscape sheet per board, each circuit with its wiring, conductors, protective device and RCD, then R1+R2, insulation resistance, polarity, measured Zs and RCD times — with the maximum Zs filled in for the device and every reading checked as you type. Free, no sign-up. You test; we supply the form.
1 The schedule — the standard, the reference and the test date
One landscape schedule per board — circuit details and test results together, with the maximum Zs filled in and checked for you. It works on its own or goes behind an EIC, an EICR or a minor works certificate.

Search 'schedule of test results template' and you get the IET's model forms, NET's template forms, a Scribd upload, BS 7909 event forms, a 17th Edition forms page and a YouTube video on how to fill one in. They are blank grids to print and fill by hand, and only the IET's has the A4:2026 columns. None of them looks up the maximum Zs for the device you fitted, and none tells you a reading is out until someone else spots it.
This schedule is filled in on screen and prints as a landscape A4 sheet per board. Pick the device type and rating and the maximum permitted Zs fills itself in from BS 7671; type the measured Zs and it is checked against it. Insulation resistance below the minimum, an RCD slower than 300 ms, a ring with a missing reading or unconfirmed polarity are flagged too — nothing is blocked.
Board by board, circuit by circuit
The schedule
The standard it was tested to (A4:2026 by default), your reference, the test date, the client and the address.
Supply and earthing
The earthing arrangement, Ze and Ipf — the earthing arrangement decides which table the maximum Zs comes from.
Boards and circuits
Add each board with its Zdb and Ipf, then each circuit. Quick-fill a typical circuit — ring, radial, lighting, cooker, shower — and change what differs.
Tested by
Your name, the date, the test instruments and their serial numbers, and your signature on screen or on paper.
Circuit details and test results — the A4:2026 layout
The schedule of circuit details records what each circuit is: its number and description, points served, type of wiring and reference method, live and cpc sizes, the overcurrent device (BS EN number, type, rating and breaking capacity), the maximum permitted Zs, and the RCD (BS EN, type, IΔn and rating). The schedule of test results records what was measured: ring continuity r1, rn and r2, R1+R2 or R2, insulation resistance live–live and live–earth with the test voltage, polarity, measured Zs, RCD disconnection time and the RCD and AFDD test buttons.
Both sit on one landscape sheet per board, with the board's own details across the top — reference, location, what supplies it, its protective device, the SPD, Zdb and Ipf, and polarity and phase sequence confirmed. Amendment 4 to BS 7671:2018 was published on 15 April 2026 and is mandatory for new work from 15 October 2026.
The readings the schedule flags before you download
On its own, or behind a certificate
Behind an EIC
New installations, rewires, new circuits and consumer unit changes — the EIC page uses the same schedule and adds the certificate.
Behind an EICR
The periodic inspection report uses the same schedule, one per board, after its observations and inspection schedule.
With minor works
The minor works certificate carries the same test results for the circuit it covers.
On its own
Test results for your records, for a client's maintenance file, or for a board you tested without certifying the work.
Sits with the certificates, the isolation record and the handover pack
A test schedule is rarely the only paperwork on the job: the isolation for the work, the certificate the schedule goes behind, and a handover pack for the client that lists it. Each schedule takes the next reference number.
You test and record. We supply the form.
This tool lays out the schedule and prints it. It does not take readings, and the checks only compare what you type with the limits in BS 7671 — they do not replace your judgement or the instrument's manual. The person named as having tested is responsible for the results.
It is FieldHive's own layout on the content BS 7671 requires the schedule to record — not a reproduction of the IET model form or a scheme's form, and it carries no IET logo.
Turn it into a connected job workflow
FieldHive keeps the enquiry, quote, job, invoice and payment connected — so it's built from the accepted quote instead of retyped, and the numbers carry through.
